Build on the sense-making routines from Session 1 by focusing on how students communicate and justify their mathematical thinking in interim performance tasks. General education and special education teachers will examine the writing demands within these assessments and explore supports that help students organize their ideas, explain their reasoning, and use evidence from their work. Because this session directly extends the learning from Session 1, participants are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions.
