Join us for a two-day launch of LEUSD Writes!, focused on practical, evidence-based writing instruction that helps students take ownership of their work. This session will model a structured process students can use to lead themselves through writing—from generating ideas to revising with purpose.Through hands-on learning, teachers will experience the process as learners and apply it directly to their own classroom content. Leave with clear routines and tools to support more independent, capable writers.This launch is just the beginning. Ongoing professional learning will support teachers as we continue this work across the three writing genres in elementary.

Crisis Prevention Institute - During the 2026-2027 school year we are offering this training to individuals in the following groups: Principals, Assistant Principals, Counselors, Psychologists, SELSP, ERMHS Staff, AES, Special Education Paraeducators, Campus Safety Supervisors, Teachers and any staff working with our students who want to learn techniques of de-escalation, and problem solving and decision-making skills. You will learn how to recognize the level of risk and apply the most appropriate verbal and/or physical interventions. Participants should be able to: improve decision making, minimize physical interventions, gain the confidence to recognize risk behaviors and respond to defensive behaviors, understand what is behind behaviors and address the needs of the individual.
