New to Kindergarten or looking for a refresher? Join us to learn the foundations of the 95% Core Curriculum, including the research and rationale behind the program. This two-day training will provide an overview of key instructional practices and help build your understanding of effective literacy instruction.
Please plan to attend both days, as the content is designed to build from one session to the next.

Who should attend?
This session is designed for 3rd Grade teachers who are new to LEUSD or 3rd grade teachers who have never participated in 95% Group training.
Join us for an afternoon to build a strong foundation in the science behind the 95% Group Core Phonics Program. Participants will explore the instructional design of the program, learn the purpose of each lesson component, and practice the core instructional routines that make implementation successful.
This is Day 1 of a two-day training. Teachers attending Day 1 should also register for Day 2 to complete the full introductory training sequence.

Collaborative Planning for Student Literacy Success (High School ELA Teachers)

This professional learning and collaborative planning session is designed to strengthen high school ELA teachers’ capacity to deliver effective, standards-aligned literacy instruction as part of the district’s upcoming instructional materials adoption. Participants will analyze student literacy needs, review California ELA/ELD Standards alignment, and apply evidence-based instructional considerations to finalize recommended core and supplemental novel selections. The session will promote consistent implementation across high school sites, support teacher effectiveness in planning rigorous and accessible literacy instruction, and produce documented outcomes, including finalized text recommendations, instructional rationale, and implementation considerations to improve student literacy achievement.
